After months of exhaustive searching for an eye cream, I landed at the L’Occitane en Provence shelf at the Dubai Duty-Free few months back; there was a discount. I was skeptical but was not skeptical on buying an eye cream. Yes I was standing in front of the shelf for like 3o mins thinking and thinking and thinking (I didn’t want my money to go to waste like the previous eye cream experiences). Later comes the sales woman, she gives me the tester and she tells me to try it. Well, it was then that I realized that this beautiful blue jar is nothing less than a magic portion, So I grabbed one immediately.
The anti-aging balm promises to reduce dark circles and wrinkles and fine lines and signs of tiredness around the eye. Promises kept. This product is suited to those with oily or combination skin, it absorbs quickly and is light on the skin and keeps the greasiness at bay. The first time I tried the balm at the Dubai duty-free, the product left my skin feeling smooth and awake instantly, and for proper results, I did use it every day and night religiously. Over a period of one month, My mom noticed the difference and she was like look the lines are reducing, and your skin looks tightened, take good care. I was surprised; my mom doesn’t comment or appreciate quickly, she has to feel amused to comment on any thing or any matter. In the end, she said it’s a miracle in a jar!
Back in the day during my school and college, I was using the lip balms from L’Occitane and this being a luxurious brand, I couldn’t afford more than a lippie. I was such a conservative person, and I would try to find alternatives to the expensive ones, convince myself like kind of sacrifice with the quality but unfortunately, I ended up spending a lot I mean a lot lot on the alternatives. I had to learn the lesson the hard way. I didn’t realize back then that I would end up buying most of their products now and everything is worth the money. Honestly, this gorgeous eye cream is no exception. As with most L’Occitane products, this balm is probably out of a student’s price range, but I would recommend you save to splurge on this, It’s totally worth it. It’s an excellent treat to your eyes.
So after few months, I go online and do a little research on the main ingredient, The Immortelle flower or the Everlasting flower or the scientific name Helichrysum Arenarium. First things first, L’Occitane has invested in the Organic Immortelle plantation program in Corsica, hence the wide range of Immortelle products on their shelf, store and online store. Now back to the details, Immortelle contains the most potent essential oil that promises to nourish and beautify the skin. Immortelle helps reduce the appearance of aging skin (wrinkles and fine lines) and support smoother, more radiant and youthful-looking skin. Immortelle means everlasting; this flower has everlasting properties. Even after the flower has been picked, it doesn’t fade or dry out. I would say “Eternity (Beauty Goodness) In A Flower.”
Before I close down with this post, I would like to share how I apply the balm. A small amount, correctly applied (dab the product using your ring finger) every day and night, you could feel and see the difference. Don’t ever rub the product. I just bought another jar a few weeks back and it’s the best eye cream I have tried so far.
